MAXIMIZING METAPHOR: SNEAKING ACTION INTO SESSIONS

Marlo Archer, PhD, PAT, Licensed Psychologist, Co-Founder, Arizona Psychodrama Institute
Grayce L. Gusmano, LMFT, LPC, CP, Co-Founder, Arizona Psychodrama Institute

Participants in this foundational workshop will have fun learning how client metaphors open the door to initiate action methods in individual, family, and couples sessions dealing with mental health and/or addiction issues; will experience several activities they can begin using immediately; and will receive informative handouts defining terms such as concretization, maximization, soliloquy, aside, and role reversal. Small action pieces will allow for deep personal work for some attendees.
