Ongoing Psychodrama Training Group for Professionals @ Psychological Counseling Services
Oct 12 @ 8:30 pm – 11:30 pm

This ongoing group is a place for up to 15 Mental or Allied Health professionals, interns, or students to learn psychodrama experientially. Sessions may include action techniques such as Social Atom, Diamond of Opposites, and Future Projection, as well as other psychodramatic activities including warm-ups, full psychodramas, and sharing. This training group is co-Facilitated by API Faculty Marlo Archer, Grayce Gusmano, Deb Wingo Gion, Adena Bank Lees, and Pat Ashbrook.

Three hours of training by a P.A.T. (Practitioner Applicant for Trainer) will be provided each session. Psychodrama students may receive up to 160 of their training hours from a P.A.T.

Marlo Archer is an approved provider for NAADAC, NBCC, & NRCGP.

She is also a nationally Certified Group Practitioner through the American Group Psychotherapy Association. She has worked in private practice settings, residential treatment centers and has worked in Canada with First Nations people as well as with the Gila River RBHA clients. She has been doing Trauma Recovery Work for 25 years, both individually and in groups. Debra incorporates her creativity, humor and calm, grounded manner in her work with clients and colleagues. She is excited to have just applied to work on her Practitioner Applicant for Trainer in Psychodrama to become a national Trainer.

Psychodrama 1:1 – Using Action Methods in Individual Therapy – Phoenix/Mesa @ Family Strategies & Coaching

The power of psychodrama is routinely experienced in groups where each group member is a therapeutic agent for every other group member, but what if you don’t have a group?

Individual therapists trained in the philosophy and methods of psychodrama can adapt action methods to impact their individual clients. Come learn how you can take these healing techniques from the group room to the consultation room.

This workshop is intended for Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric Nurses, Professional Counselors, Substance Abuse Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists. This workshop is appropriate for beginning, intermediate and advanced level practitioners.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund on or before Sunday November 4, no refund on or after Monday, November 5.

Adena Bank Lees, LCSW, LISAC, BCETS, is an adjunct faculty member of the Arizona Psychodrama Institute and a leading expert in childhood sexual abuse treatment. As a sought after speaker and consultant, Adena has presented to and trained hundreds of mental health and allied professionals across the globe on sexual abuse and its relation to substance/process addictions, dissociation and eating disorders.

Dr. Marlo Archer, CP, PAT, is a co-founder of the Arizona Psychodrama Institute, a licensed psychologist, and a Practitioner Applicant for Trainer in psychodrama. Psychodrama students may receive up to 160 of their training hours from a PAT. Marlo Archer is an approved provider for NAADAC, NBCC, & NRCGP.
